Lara Jean, a 16 year old, Asian-American, is the protagonist in the To All the Boys I've Loved Before book series by Jenny Han (Now also a Netflix Original Movie).

"When I write, I hold nothing back. I write like he'll never read it. Because he never will. Every secret thought, every careful observation, everything I've saved up inside me, I put it all in the letter. When I'm done, I seal it, I address it, and then I put it in my teal hatbox." - Lara Jean Covey

Anyone who has read this novel or who has seen the movie over Netflix would remember Lara Jean's opening line. Yes, it would be as though she bravely puts her heart on her sleeve by writing everything she wants these boys to know about how she feels about them, but I personally feel that it's so much more than just that.

I feel that her younger sister, Kitty likewise played quite an important role to get Lara Jean into Kavinsky's arms.

Okay, you might be wondering right now if what you're reading about has something to do with finding and most importantly landing a job or just getting an inside scoop of Lara Jean's lovelife. I promise, I will get to the point.

There is a point in our lives - well, specifically during a job hunt - where we don't know what to write in our CVs. There are times when we feel like writing down every single achievement and skill set to impress whoever would read our paper. There are also those times when we feel like writing everything down may give the impression that you are too good to be true. That is why, instead of just putting everything you need them to learn about you, you end up masking some of these things, which eventually ends up disastrously as you were unable to impress or create that connection with the one reading because your paper just did not have what they were looking for.

This is where Lara Jean would come in play. Like her, do not hesitate to write what you feel would capture the attention of the person who may read your CV. Just be true to yourself. Write down your credentials, write down your skills, write down what you have that gives you an advantage over the others.

Don't hold anything back.

Nope, this is not an article about how to write the best CV in the whole world, you can use Google to help you with that.

But, then again, once you have written your CV, it would be useless if you keep it in your desk. Lying inside a closed envelope waiting - waiting that it would grow its own feet and hopefully walk its way to companies looking for candidates such as yourself.

Kitty, Lara Jean's sister had the confidence that she lacked thereof. Although it was dangerously brave, Kitty allowed Lara Jean's letter reach it's recipient. Hadn't Kitty done so, Lara Jean would remain to be that girl who still sits inside her room, looking out the window wondering what might have been.

You should learn from Kitty. After writing the perfect CV, you must muster all your guts to send it out in the open with the hopes that a Peter Kavinsky would find them, read them and react to them.

Finally, not every one who will receive your letter may be "the one." So, you have to try your best to make the right decision. You don't want to find yourself ending up with a Josh Sanderson or a John McClaren, when all you really want to end up with is a Peter Kavinsky. In choosing the company that you will be joining you have to learn how to ask. It is not all about the company and what you can do for that company. Remember that you will spend most of your adult life (well, realistically, maybe an average of 2 to 5 years) in this company and you'd want to make sure that you will grow with the company. That means that you need to know if they can take care of you and help motivate you to become a better employee. And like Peter and Lara Jean, put things into writing and do everything you can to make sure it works out. It has to, right?
