BDJ BOX: OCTOBER EXPRESS IT RUNWAY ROCK

Long have I wanted to receive one of these beauty boxes from Belle Du Jour (BDJBox) and finally, after quite a long wait, it’s here!

And let me just tell you, BDJ by far has one of the most fabulous beauty boxes there is in the country! They really know how to give you your money’s worth!

So, without further adieu, below is my very own (smiling!) loot from BDJBox:

Just by the looks of it, you can just imagine how big my smile is as soon as I saw what's inside the box.

As usual, together with the products, they also included some stickers and info cards about the contents of the October Express It box.

I was just too excited because the colors and the images are way to colorful!

On one of the info cards, I found out that when I purchase at least P250.00 worth of Maybelline products, I get to take home a lip and eye makeup makeup remover for FREE!

Another is just by sticking stickers and blogging or reviewing about the products inside the box, I get a chance to win more Maybelline products! How great is that?!

Okay, so I know that you are all as excited to see what is inside a BDJBox Runway Rock October Box, so, here's a closer view of what they are:

1.) Maybelline LuminEyes Eyeshadow Palette in Red Brown.

I am really grateful that they sent me the Red Brown Palette. I have morena skin and I wouldn't really know what to do if I got the Pink, Blue or Gray palettes. This one that I got is so versatile.

I actually use it everyday and what's great is that it comes with a primer (white round one) that ensures that your eyeshadow will stay put 2x longer! I've tested it and I can attest that it really makes the shadow stay put the whole day. I can tell, I have really oily lids.

The primer is a bit shimmery, but the white and shimmer makes it a perfect base for the other eyeshadows.

The next color is a light golden shadow, you can wear it alone for a simple day look or you can use it to highlight the middle portion of your lids, the inner corners and the brow bone.

The peachy shadow is a perfect transition color from the lightest to the darkest shadow in this palette. Like the light golden shadow, this peachy color can also be worn by itself.

Next to that is a golden bronze that I use on the crease. And again, this can also be worn by itself. I plan on using it next year at the beach, kinda gives me that warm bronzy glow.

Finally, the darkest shade in the palette is a dark reddish bronze that I use at the outer V and at the lower lash line. This can be used to transition your eye make up from day to night but still keeping it very subtle and simple.

2.) Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Mascara.

A few years ago, you cannot see any mascara inside my makeup kit. Why? Well, for one I have a hard time curling them because they are just too damn short! Another is since I have really short lashes, the mascara that I own almost always gets expired. I use so little an amount that before I know it, the six months shelf life is over. There goes my money down the drain again.

Not until I had a formal training in Makeup and made it as a part time profession. I realized that really nice lashes can instantly make you look like a star! Since then, I own an eyelash curler and a Maybelline mascara.

This product is amaaaaazing! Give it a good coat or two, and it looks like you are actually wearing falsies!

And now, all you have to do is to add a liquid eyeliner and use the Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Mascara.

3.) Maybelline Cheeky Glow Blush in Peachy Sweetie.

I love this blush on. I normally use a cheek tint (In2It) because as much as possible I want a natural-looking blush. Rarely do I find blush on with slightly shimmery to matte finish that is good for everyday use.

I have been planning on purchasing this product for quite a long time now, but since it also takes ages to use up all my cheek tint, I haven't really had the opportunity to buy me one yet. Which is why I am so happy when I saw this inside my BDJBox.

It is great for morena skin. It can easily be applied on and blended. It has very minimal shimmer to it making it perfect for everyday use.

I am twice as happy when I found another Cheeky Glow Blush inside the box. I know it was a mistake but nonetheless, I am still very grateful!

4.) Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Stick 8-in-1 Skin Transformer.

I have written two reviews about the recent BB creams that I tested (Ponds and Colour Collection) and so far the BB creams that I've tried is way to light for me. Unfortunately, same as with this one.

I am not too sure if they have other shades but this one (Shade: Fresh) is too light. Since it's too light for me, I will probably just use it to highlight areas that are a bit dark such as my under eye, cheekbones, nose bridge, etc.

What I like about it is the way it dries up after application. It has a powder-like finish.

A bit of a downside, I don't like the smell/ scent.

5.) Maybelline Clear Smooth All-In-One Shine Free Foundation.

I haven't had any experience owning and using Maybelline powder foundation which is why I am really glad that they put one inside my box. I love its subtle hint of powder scent.

I am more impressed with the coverage. There's no need to use blotting sheets every now and then. Not to mention it is also SPF25++ which protects your skin from the sun's damaging UV rays.

I don't use the sponge that comes with it in setting the BB Stick, rather I use my Vegan Brush by Bare Minerals. But if I want full coverage, the sponge is the best choice.

6.) Maybelline Baby Lips Color Lip Balm in Pink Peony.

In highschool, lip balms were an obsession. I love collecting them. I have tons. Okay, so maybe at the time I wasn't really allowed to use lipsticks.

But, since I started working, lip balms started to get replaced with lipsticks. I think it has already been 10 years since I last used one.

It's about time to go back to the basics and give my lips some love it deserves. Lip balms protects the lips from the sun and it also keeps the lips moisturized and soft, making lipstick easier to apply and not to mention making our lips more kiss-worthy.

This product from Maybelline is great because it's not heavy on the lips and you can actually wear it on its own.

If you think that that's all there is to it, you are most definitely wrong. Aside from these wonderful, lust-worthy Maybelline products, another BEST feature of this October Express It box is the Loyalty Card that comes with it!

With every purchase of any Maybelline products, points are accumulated. When you got points, you get to use them with more Maybelline products! Isn't that great?!

Don't you just hate yourself for not subscribing to BDJ Box's October box? Don't worry, there are more to come! I bet you that for just P580.00, you get more than you bargained for!
